MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
a)
When the machine is
stopped for servicing, in
spection, or storage, or to
change an accessory, switch
off and disconnect the plug
from the mains supply and
allow the machine to cool.
Make sure that all moving
parts have come to a com
plete stop before making
any inspections, adjust
ments, etc.
b) If an extension cord is used it
shall not be of lighter grade
than the supply cord already
fitted to the appliance.
c) Before use, always check
the connection and exten
sion cable for signs of dam
age or aging. If the cable
is damaged during use, it
must be disconnected from
the power supply immedi
ately. Do not touch the cable
before disconnecting it from
the mains. Do not use the
machine if the cable is dam
aged or worn.
d) When servicing the cutting
means be aware that, even
though the motor will not
start due to the interlock
feature of the guard, the
cutting means can still be
moved if the motor is turned
by hand.
e) Never attempt to override
the interlock feature of the
guard.
f) Maintain the machine with
care and keep it clean.
g) Examine the machine and
replace worn or damaged
parts with original compo
nents if necessary.
h) Always allow the machine
to cool before storing.
i) Keep the motor cooling
vents clean of debris and
other accumulations to pre
vent damage to the motor
or possible fire.
j) Do not expose the machine
to rain. Only store the ma
chine in a dry place out of
reach of children.
k) Residual risk: Vibrations can
cause damage to health in
case of excessively long op
eration, improper handling
or lack of maintenance.
