4-1-3. Internet Explorer Settings
Confirm that Internet Explorer is set up to run JavaScript and Cookies.
Open Internet Explorer, then select ‘Internet Options’ from the ‘Tools’ menu. Click the
‘Security’ tab, then click the ‘Local intranet’ Web content zone. If this zone has been
customized (if ‘Default Level’ button displayed), click the ‘Default Level’ button. Internet
Explorer will now be able to use JavaScript and Cookies will be enabled.
About Cookies
When using the VFC-1000, a JavaScript program is downloaded from the camera to the
PC since the browser runs part of the control program. In addition, the VFC-1000 stores set
record parameters, so this information is converted to data known as Cookies for use by
the browser, and these Cookies are stored on the PC.
Next, check active language on the same menu.
Click the ‘General’ tab, then click the ‘Languages’ button and make sure that ‘English (en)’
is displayed in the ‘Language’ field. If it is not displayed there, then the VFC-1000 control
screen messages will appear in English.
