Install the impeller
When installing a stainless steel impeller onto a stainless steel shaft, the shaft end should be greased with
National Chemsearch THREAD-EZE. Make sure that no grease is on the contact surfaces of the locking
assembly.
1. Make sure that the end of the shaft is clean and free of burrs.
Polish off any flaws with fine emery cloth.
2. Grease the end of the shaft and the impeller hub.
3. Depending on which pump model you have, do the following:
If you have
pump...
Then...
• C3300/6X5
1. Place the impeller and impeller hub on the shaft and press it onto the shaft
with the impeller screw. For C3300/6x5 HT, press the hub onto the shaft.
2. Go on to
(page 97).
• Other C-pump
1. Place the impeller on the shaft and fit the hydraulic tool with the M16
screw.
2. Use the appropriate washer to press the impeller in place.
3. Remove the hydraulic tool.
4. Go on to
(page 97).
Install the locking assembly
1. Fit the locking assembly in place:
a) Apply a thin layer of grease at the surface indicated by the arrow in the illustration below.
Do not use oil containing molybdenum disulphide (MoS
2
).
