16.4 Creating & setting up a line
General A line is a function that returns temperature values along a single line in an infrared
image.
Procedure
Follow this procedure to create and set up a line:
To go to the mode selector, push the button to the right of the joystick.

In the mode selector, select Camera and push the joystick.

To create an line, select Line in the toolbox and push the joystick. 3
To move the line, do the following:
1 Select Move
2 Push the joystick.
3 Do one of the following. Push the joystick to go between horizontal and
vertical line mode.

To move a horizontal line up or down, move the joystick up/down.
■
To move a vertical line left/right, move the joystick left/right.
4 Push the button to the right of the joystick.

To specify type of result, select one of the following and push the joystick
to confirm:
■
Max. , i.e., returns the maximum temperature along the line.
■
Min. , i.e., returns the minimum temperature along the line.
■
Avg. , i.e., returns the average temperature along the line.
■
Graph , i.e., to display a graph of the temperatures along the line.

To display visual markers that indicate the exact position of the maximum
and minimum temperatures along the line, respectively, select
Markers
and push the joystick to confirm.

To use the specified line temperature as a reference temperature, select
Set as reference temperature . and push the joystick to confirm.
Note: You can only use the command Set as reference temperature for
one measurement tool at a time. Consequently, if you have used the com-
mand for a spot, you cannot use it for a line.
