Compressor

– maintenance plan

(brief overview)

Hertell KD series

Battioni MEC series

Vane lubrication

Vane lubricating oil:

 ISO VG 68

Vane lubricating oil:

 ISO VG 100

Lubrication is performed in conjunction with the oil pump
during the vacuum and pressure phase. The oil tank is filled
via the plug

A

and checked with the oil dipstick

B

The level must be checked every day before use to prevent
dry operation.
The oil tank capacity lasts for

4 hours of operation

The drip oilers must each be set to

max. 20 drops/min

. To

adjust a drip oiler, undo the counter nut

C

The drip oiler is adjusted by turning the wheel

D

Oil consumption is increased with anti-clockwise
rotation.

Oil consumption is reduced with clockwise rotation.

After adjusting the drip oiler, tighten the counter nut

C

 again.

Pressure lubrication

(standard) takes place both during the

suction and the compression phase by means of a rear-
mounted gear pump that is powered by the rotor shaft.
The gear pump draws the oil from the tank and supplies it to
the manually regulated dosing tap.
The excess oil flows from the tap back into the tank via a
hose.

In the case of

automatic lubrication

, the process takes place

both during the suction and compression phase by means of
a rear-mounted, rotor-powered metering piston pump with
adjustable feed rate. The oil is injected directly, thus negating
the need for manual regulation and greatly reducing oil
consumption.

The oil tank is filled via the opening

A

 and checked with the

oil dipstick

B

. The level must be checked every day before

use to prevent dry operation.
The oil tank capacity lasts for

4 hours of operation

During operation, the drip oiler must be set to

at least

25 drops/min

(MEC 4000)

30 drops/min

(MEC 5000)

40 drops/min

(MEC 6500 / MEC 8000)

50 drops/min

(MEC 9000 / MEC 11000 / MEC 13500)

To adjust a drip oiler, undo the counter nut

C

The drip oiler is adjusted by turning the wheel

D

Oil consumption is increased with anti-clockwise
rotation.

Oil consumption is reduced with clockwise rotation.

After adjusting the drip oiler, tighten the counter nut

C

 again.

Use only the oils or greases specified by the manufacturer.
Avoid mixing different oil types as this can result in oil degradation and a loss of
lubricating capacity.
