CD-ROM drive

CD-ROM drive

The CD-ROM drive is installed in the tray above the ZIP drive and is used to install 
Print Controller X4(AR-PE1) system software.

DRIVE

1.

Power off the Print Controller X4(AR-PE1), as described in “To shut down the 
Print Controller X4(AR-PE1)” on page 4-3

2.

Remove the front panel as described in “To remove the front panel” on page 4-6.

3.

Remove the IDE cable connected to the back of the CD-ROM drive.

4.

Remove the power supply cable connected to the CD-ROM drive.

5.

Cut any tie wraps that hold the power supply cable to the drive bracket.

6.

Squeeze and hold the thumb clips on the sides of the CD-ROM drive and then slide the 
drive out of the front of the tray.
