Service Procedures

Hard disk drive

The factory-installed HDD (hard disk drive) in the Print Controller X4(AR-PE1) is 
formatted and loaded with Print Controller X4(AR-PE1) system software, including the 
network drivers and Print Controller X4(AR-PE1) printer fonts. The HDD is also used 
to store spooled print jobs. Available space on the HDD is displayed on the Control 
Panel. The HDD is installed in the bracket in the front of the tray.

• The appropriate Print Controller X4(AR-PE1) system software including 

documentation for the Print Controller X4(AR-PE1) you are servicing

• Compatible version of the user software for networked computers that will be printing 

to the Print Controller X4(AR-PE1)
