This power tool must always be used according to the manufacturer's instructions provided in this user
handbook. In the event of incorrect use or performance of modifi cations to this power tool, the manufacturer shall
bear no responsibility for the resulting damages. Also follow the safety and installation instructions provided in
this user's manual and also valid regulations related to injury and accident prevention.
A power tool with incorrect part or missing parts or without the protective cover must not be used. An authorised
service centre will provide you with information regarding spare parts.

maintenance, starting and stopping of this hedge trimmer. Acquaint yourself with the control elements and
the correct use of this hedge trimmer.
Never allow children to use this hedge trimmer.

Stop working when there are other persons nearby, namely children.
Dress appropriately! Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery that could become caught in moving parts. It is
recommended to use heavy duty gloves, footwear with non-slip soles and protective glasses.
Be very careful when handling fuel. Fuel is fl ammable and its vapours are explosive.
THE FOLLOWING POINTS MUST BE ADHERED TO WHEN WORKING WITH FUEL
Use only approved containers.
Never remove the fuel tank cap or refi ll fuel when the engine is running.
Allow the engine and exhaust system to cool down before adding fuel.
do not smoke when handling fuel.
Never refi ll fuel in an enclosed area.
Never place the hedge trimmer or fuel containers in places near open fl ames, e.g. near water heaters.
