Foreseeable misuse of the 3-position enabling switch

Unauthorised fixing of the 3-position enabling switch in the enabling position with mechanical aids
must be regarded as foreseeable misuse, which must be prevented.
The following measures, which cause the machine to come to rest in manual override, are recommen-
ded:
•

Query of the 3-position enabling switch when the machine or system is switched on and query of
the 3-position enabling switch when changing the operating mode from automatic to manual
(manual override). The 3-position enabling switch must not be in the enabling position.

•

The 3-position enabling switch must be released within a specified period and returned to the
enabling position. The length of the period must be selected according to the job requirement.
