DRIVING YOUR VEHICLE

With the engine started, release the
key, which will automatically return to
position

II.

If the engine does not start after turning
the key to position

, wait for the gear

display to go off and then repeat the
entire procedure.
If the engine fails to start after several
attempts, check for one of the following
causes:

•

insufficient speed of the starter motor
(flat battery);

•

ignition device faulty;

•

faulty electrical contacts;

•

blown fuel pump fuses.

Do not run the engine at high speeds
until the oil temperature has reached at
least 65÷70 °C, approximately.

DRIVING THE VEHICLE

(“F1” gearbox)

With the engine running, the vehicle
stationary and the brake pedal pushed,
pull the right-hand

lever to engage

gear, or move the lever

forward.

CAUTION
Use

gear to park and for uphill

starts.

Release the brake pedal and press the
accelerator to start off.
With the engine running and the vehicle
stationary, you can change directly:
- from

gear to reverse gear, by

operating the lever

;

- from reverse gear to

, gear by

pushing the lever

forward or pulling the

lever

towards the steering wheel.

When reversing, a safety buzzer sounds
intermittently for the entire time that
reverse gear remains engaged.

If, shifting from reverse to

gear, the

system automatically engages

gear, it

means that jamming has occurred on

gear. This is not a malfunction, but part
of the system operating logic. For the
same reason, when changing from

reverse gear, in the event of jamming, the
system automatically engages

If the vehicle stands still for long periods
of time with the engine running, it is
advisable to keep the gearshift in
