8.7.1 Function
The motors of the flush trimming unit start when the but-
ton is depressed. The flush trim unit has the function flush
trim the top and bottom excess edge. During edging the
panel reaches the flush trim unit and is then copied by
the copiers. Depending on types of cutters, copying rol-
lers adjustments and tilt of motor, it is possible to obtain
different cutting profiles (radius, bevelled or straight). The
standard equipment foresees 2 cutters, top and bottom
(DX & SX), with R=3 mm and bevelled at 3°. The flush
trimmers are equipped with dust extraction hoods
Ø 60 mm, connected to the centralized dust collector.
The maximum edge to be cut off is 2 mm per side.
The cutters turn in opposite direction to the panel fee-
ding. The high frequency motors of the flush trim unit start
up by pushing switch.
8.7.2 Copying roller adjustments
Top flush trimmer:
When regulating copying roller 2, (diagram 25), release
the clamping lever 4 (diagram 27) and operate the ball
handle (diagram 27). After regulation, block the clam-
ping lever. To regulate the position of the moulder tool
using button 7 (diagram 27), release clamping lever 2
(diagram 27) and operate the ball handle 2 (diagram
27). After regulation pull the clamping lever tight. In
order to position the trimming unit according to the thick-
ness of the edge, operate ball handle 7 (diagram 27) and
enter the thickness of the edge on the display console.
To increase the infeed pressure of button 2 (diagram 25),
release nut 4 (diagram 25), to reduce it, tighten nut 4
(diagram 25).
Bottom flush trimmer:
To regulate copying roller 3 (dia. 26), release clamping
lever 9 (dia. 27) and operate ball handle 6 (dia. 27).
After regulation, block clamping lever 8 (dia. 27) again.
In order to regulate the position of the moulding tool
according to button 2 (dia. 26), release clamping lever
10 (dia. 27) and operate ball handle 9 (dia. 27). After
regulation pull clamping lever 10 (dia. 27) tight again.
In order to position the trimming unit according to tool
thickness, operate ball handle 5 and entert the thickness
of the edge on the display console.
If you need to increase the infeed pressure of button 3,
release pin 5 (dia. 25) and raise disk 6 (dia. 25), to
reduce it, lower disk 6 (dia.25). Tighten the pin.
The unit must be tilted 3 degrees upwards or downwards
for trimming. By opening the 2-M8 screws the unit can
be tilted and the the screws must be retightened.
