Connecting

3-1 Connecting

Caution

CDX Series products do not support CC-link communication.

Do not connect/disconnect CDA Series or CDX Series products when a power supply is connected. Connecting/
disconnecting the device while the power is on may lead to malfunctions.

MEMO

To extend the cable, connect an extension cable (2 m type) between the cable and the CDA Series head connector.

Follow the procedure shown below to connect the devices.

Connect the cable to the CDX Series branch connector, and then turn the connector to
lock it in place.

Branch connector side (male): Protrusion

Cable side (female): Notch

M12 connector (front)

Branch connector

Cable

Align the protrusion on the M12 connector with the notch to connect the cable.

Connect the M8 connector of the cable to the CDA head connector, and then turn the
connector to lock it in place.
