24. North Up orientation.
On some charts, the top of the screen isn’t necessarily north. Can I change this so that
north is always towards the top?
Absolutely. Touch the
Link
button, then choose
North Up
, and every chart you open is
rotated so that its northern portion is shown at the top of the screen.

the View Charts section of this manual.
25. The contour chart moves too slowly when I try to adjust my viewpoint.
To improve performance, zoom in so that less chart area is displayed.
You might also try using the green mesh contour display option: touch
Setup, Contour
Colors
and choose
Green Mesh
from the list of display options. Displaying just the
“wire frame” contour pattern, instead of opaque contours, may allow quicker
repositioning of the contour chart image.
Another option is to zoom in to make angle adjustments, then zoom back out for a wider
view.
26. The contour chart movement is “jumpy” when I try to adjust my
viewpoint.
Try dragging the cursor more slowly, giving the system a little more time to adequately
portray each change in angle.

Note!
In order for the WxWorx Weather to be able to show the vessel, the Chart Plotter needs
to be running. The Chart Plotter gets the GPS data and makes it available to the
WxWorx application.
27. I have waited an hour and the account has still not been activated.
The amount of time it takes to activate your WxWorx on Water account depends on how
many XM activations are in queue. It can be as short as 15 minutes or as long as 1
hour. If an hour has passed and WxWorx is not activated, please call (800) 985 9200.
Before you call, confirm that the ID in the main XmLink window is the one you gave the
XM Listener Care representative in your original call. This ID should match the one on
the receiver and on the packing box.
28. Some data products are displaying, but not others. Some buttons are
red and do not turn blue/green.
The receiver may have poor satellite signal strength.
Open the XmLink and check the Radio status area.
Touch
Tools, Counters
to check how many errors there have been in your reception. If
there are any errors in the counters window, check your antenna connection and
location. Make sure you have a clear view of the southern sky.
If your reception seems ok, the receiver may not be fully activated.
Open the XM Link and select
Tools, Activation Mode
. Let the window stay open until
the Service Level window indicates the package that you requested from XM Listener
