8 - MAINTENANCE
7 - OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
The pressure ratio of the pump DP41 is 4:1,of the pump DP61 is 6:1. This means that oil
comes out of the pump at a pressure 4 or 6 times higher than the inlet pressure of com-
pressed air.
The pneumatic supply of the equipment allows to operate in maximum safety near flamma
-
ble products.
When operating at contact with the product, wear gloves and protective clothing.
Consult the safety table of the product.
Always close the air and relieve the oil in pressure before any work to the pump
or to the system is carried out.
Keeping the pressure regulator in the closed position, open the air line ball valve.
Then keep the dispensing valve (gun) open over a suitable metal container to receive the
fluid from it once the system is primed. Take extreme care and keep the dispensing nozzle
in contact with the wall of the container. We also recommend that you wear
personal protective equipment.
Slowly open the pressure regulator with pressure gauge, as gradually as possible.
To allow an easy pump-priming keep very low pressure of the air to let the pump
work as slowly as possible.
As soon as all the air in the fluid line has been expelled and the gun has started dispen
-
sing, close the gun.
After initial pump-priming, if the air line is open, opening the gun will immediately start the
pneumatic pump. Closing the gun will stop the pneumatic pump.
Always close the air supply when the premises are unattended or any maintenance is
carried out.
To prevent accidents and bad working from happening do not exceed the max. permissible
pressure of compressed air.
When changing drums keep the pump off the floor.
Clean carefully those parts which have been possibly contaminated by dirt.
Protect the fluid from falls and from dirt.
IMPORTANT! Maintenance should only be carried out by suitably trai-
ned staff, who are familiar with the instructions and information in this
manual.
Periodically check the pump for the leaks and smooth operation. Check that there is no fluid
leakage from the fittings and they are tight.
Always close the feeding of fluid to the machine before performing any maintenance
or servicing.
Replace the flexible hose if it shows any signs of wear or damage.
Any replacement of pump parts has to be done using original spare parts.
We advise you to contact the manufacturer for any possible anomaly and before replacing
any part.
