5.20 Protecting welding parameters from unauthorised access
These accessory components can be retrofitted as an option - See 9 Accessories chapter.
To protect against unauthorised or unintentional adjustment of the welding parameters on the machine,
the control input can be locked with the aid of a key switch.
Key position 1 =
All parameters can be set
Key position 0 =
Only the following operating elements are functional:
• “Operating mode” button
• “Welding parameter setting” rotary transducer
• “Display switching” button
• “TIG pulse welding”/“Select activArc” button
• “Select welding parameters” button
• “Gas test” button
5.21 PC interface
CAUTION
Equipment damage or faults may occur if the PC is connected incorrectly!
Not using the SECINT X10USB interface results in equipment damage or faults in signal
transmission. The PC may be destroyed due to high frequency ignition pulses.
• Interface SECINT X10USB must be connected between the PC and the welding machine!
• The connection must only be made using the cables supplied (do not use any additional
extension cables)!

5.22 Machine configuration menu
The machine menu includes basic functions such as torch modes, display settings and the service menu.
5.22.1 Selecting, changing and saving parameters
ENTER (enter the menu)
• Switch off machine at the main switch
• Press and hold the "welding parameters" button and switch the machine on again at the same
time.
NAVIGATION (navigating in the menu)
• Parameters are selected by pressing the "welding parameters" button.
• Set or change the parameters by turning the "welding parameter setting" rotary dial.
EXIT (leave the menu)
• Select the "Elt" menu item.
• Press the "welding parameters" button (settings will be applied, machine changes to the
ready-to-operate status).
