Configuring RAID Through M.2 SSDs

The EVGA Z590 DARK supports RAID0 and RAID1 spanned across the three M.2
slots. For a more complete discussion about RAID and the different types and

positives/negatives of each type of RAID, skip to the next section of the manual, which

covers everything you need to know about RAID.
Install/Verify That Your SSDs Are Ready:

To configure an M.2 RAID in the EVGA Z590 DARK, you will first need to

install your M.2 SSDs, as shown above on Page 34.

Next, enter the motherboard BIOS by tapping the DEL key after the POST

beep.

Enter the “Advanced” menu, and then enter the “Onboard Device

Configuration” menu. Make sure that your populated M.2 Key-M slots

populated are enabled here.

Hit ESC or click the back arrow to return to the Advanced menu. Click on the

NVMe Information Page to verify that your SSDs are detected and available.

If you made any changes to the motherboard BIOS, exit back to the main

menu, go to the “Save & Exit” menu, and click “Save Changes and Reset”.

Enable and Configure M.2 RAID:

Enter the BIOS and go into the Advanced menu. Enter the “SATA

Configuration” menu.

Change the SATA Mode Selection to “RAID”, which will add new options for

M.2 Key-M PCIe Storage RAID. Set each M.2 Key-M you plan to use in the

RAID to “Enabled”.
