11.1 Deck
Rails and Deck Hardware
The rail system and hardware fittings have been
selected and installed to perform specific func -
tions. Hand rails are installed to provide a hand-
hold in certain areas of the boat. You should make
sure you keep at least one hand on the handholds
as you move about the boat.
Mooring lines should be secured to the cleats and
not to rails or stanchions. The cleats on your boat
are retractable and flush with the deck when not
in use. To use the cleats, pull up on the center
of the cleat until it locks in the mooring position.
Be sure a clear lead exists when running dock lines
or anchor lines. A line inadvertently run around
a stanchion or over the rail could cause damage.
Fenders are attached to quick release fender pins
located on the gunnels. To use the fender pins, tie
a line to each fender, then tie the line to a fender
pin. Insert the fender pin into the receiver on the
gunnel and adjust the line length.
Important:
All fittings must be periodically inspected for
loose fit or wear and damage. Any problems
should be corrected immediately.

DESIGNED FOR TOWING PURPOSES. THE MOORING
CLEATS ARE NOT TO BE USED FOR TOWING ANOTHER
VESSEL OR HAVING THIS BOAT TOWED.
