11.7 Upper Station & Crow’s Nest

The upper station is a powder coated, welded
aluminum frame that is attached topside of the
hardtop. It is equipped with an upper control sta-
tion that provides full control of the boat from the
upper helm and a sunshade. A ladder built into
both sides of the hardtop frame provides access
to the upper station.
The upper station seats are equipped with a flip up
bolster to provide more room between the seats
and the helm. The bolsters convert the seats to
a leaning post style seat with a backrest allowing
the operator and passenger to sit or stand at the
helm. To convert each seat to a leaning post, lift
the front of the seat cushion to raise the bolster
and push it back above the seat cushion.

Do not overload the upper station. It is designed
to hold the weight of only two average-sized peo-
ple. Weight in the upper station raises the boat’s
center of gravity. Too much weight could make
the boat unstable or damage the frame. Refer
to the Operation chapter for information on the
safe operation of the boat from the upper helm.
