2.4. Regular supervision of charging process is advised.
3. Using starting aid - Jump Starter (Boost) mode.
This instruction is only valid for modern cars where chassis ground is connected to negative
battery terminal.
3.1. Please make sure that the current (ampere) regulator [9] is set to ‘MIN’ position and the
charger and cables are not damaged.
3.2. Connect the Red clamp to positive terminal of the battery. Then connect Black clamp to
car chassis, away from the battery and fuel line (can be any solid metal, clean unpainted
surface - for example engine mount, chassis ground cable mount). Double check if the correct
polarity is preserved. Incorrect connection can damage the charger and/or car equipment.
3.3.Prior to using the Boost function it is recommended to charge the battery using high
charging current for about 5-15 minutes in accordance to 1.3-1.5.
3.4. To activate the Jump Starter function press ‘Mode’ [4] button. ‘Boost’ LED indicator [3]
lights up. Try to start the engine. You should not load the charger with the starter running for
more than 20s, while in Boost mode. If car is not started within 20s, please turn the ignition off
and wait for about 2-3 minutes to let the charger cool down. Then you can attempt to start the
engine again. The number of starting attempts is not limited, but if the engine does not start
again, you should look for other possible malfunctions.
3.5. After successful startup turn off the charger using the power switch on the back [10].
Disconnect the charger from AC mains power source, next disconnect negative connector.
Next, disconnect the positive connector.
Turn the ampere regulator knob [9] to ‘MIN’ position.
