Remove two LATCH hooks

Remove the LATCH harness

facing
position (front openings).
Remove the seat pad from the seat shell (page 39).
Loosen harness straps

out of the way, as shown.
• If your LATCH harness

forward-
facing
position (back openings), proceed to step 6.
• If your LATCH harness

is in the
rear-facing
position (front openings), continue to step 3.

Crossing your arms, insert the ends of the LATCH
harness

in the
forward-facing
belt path openings,
as shown (back openings). NOTE: Make sure the
adjustment buckle

enters the opening on the
correct side of the child restraint, as shown.
