b) Setting the alarm time
• Press
MODE/SET
button to select the alarm view.
AL
symbol is shown on the LCD.
• Within approx. 15 seconds press and hold
MODE/SET
button for 3 seconds to enter alarm
time setting.
• Use the

button to adjust settings and press the
MODE/SET
button to confirm the
setting. The setting sequence is as follows: Hour

c) Activating/deactivating the alarm
• Press the
AL ON/OFF
button (9) to activate or deactivate the alarm. If the alarm is on, alarm
symbol appears on the LCD.
d) Turning off the alarm signal & using the snooze function
• The alarm signal will sound at the pre-set time. The alarm symbol
flashes on the LCD.
When the alarm is initiated, press any button to stop it. Otherwise, the alarm signal sounds
for approx. 2 minutes, then stops automatically.
• During these 2 minutes, you can pause the alarm for approx. 5 minutes by pressing the
SNOOZE
button (2). The
Z
Z
symbol flashes on the LCD. The alarm will sound again after another
approx. 5 minutes (snooze function). You can repeat that function up to 7 times.
• If no snooze function is used, the alarm will sound again after 24 hours, unless it is switched
off using
AL ON/OFF
button.
e) Selecting the temperature unit
• Press the
°C/°F
button (7) to select the desired temperature unit
°C
(Celsius) or
°F
(Fahrenheit).
f) Readings beyond the measuring range
• If a current temperature reading is below the measuring range, the LCD will show
LL.L

and if above the measuring range, the LCD will show
HH.H

g) Selecting 12-hour or 24-hour display mode
• Press the
+ 12/24
button (8) to toggle between 12-hour and 24-hour display mode.
• When selecting the 12-hour format,
PM
will appear on the LCD from noon 12 o’clock till
evening 23:59 o’clock and
AM
will appear on the LCD from night 00:00 o’clock till morning
11:59 o’clock.
h) Activating the outdoor temperature alert
• Press the
ALERT
button (4) to active the outdoor temperature alarm. The symbol appears
on the LCD.
• When activated, the high or low
temperature alert symbol flashes on the LCD and
wall clock beeps continuously for approx. 10 seconds in approx. 50 second intervals until the
outdoor temperature alert is deactivated.
• To deactivate, again press the
ALERT
button. The symbol disappears from the LCD.
i) Adjusting outdoor temperature thresholds
• In normal time display mode, press and hold the
ALERT
button for approx. 3 seconds. The
upper outdoor temperature alert
symbol starts flashing.
Use the
+
or
-
button to change
the value. To confirm, press the
ALERT
button.

Now the lower outdoor temperature alert symbol starts flashing.
Use the
+
or
-
button to
change the value.
To confirm, press the
ALERT
button:
- Upper outdoor temperature threshold: max. +50 °C
- Lower outdoor temperature threshold: max. -20 °C
• If you do not press any button within 8 seconds, the system will save the last value set and
then returns to normal time display mode.
j) Displaying daylight saving time
• The
DST
daylight saving time symbol appears on the LCD, once the wall clock receives the
daylight saving time signal from DCF.
Daylight saving time (abbreviated DST), is the practice of advancing clocks during
summer months by one hour so that evening daylight lasts an hour longer, while
sacrificing normal sunrise times. Typically, regions that use daylight saving time
adjust clocks forward one hour close to the start of spring and adjust them backward
in the autumn to standard time.
k) Resetting the wall clock LCD
• Press the
RESET
button (6) using a pointed object (e.g. with an unfolded paper clip), if the
LCD does not show any concrete readings. The wall clock will be reset. All previous settings
will be deleted. The wall clock will switch to DCF reception mode. Any manual settings, such
as alarm time, must be set again.
l) Resetting the connection between sensor and wall clock
• Press the
RESET
button (13) located inside the battery compartment of the external sensor
using a finger. The connection between sensor and wall clock will be re-established.
Care and cleaning
• Remove the batteries from the product before cleaning.
• Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions as
they can cause damage to the housing and malfunctioning.
•
Clean the outside of the product with a soft, dry, fiber-free cloth.
• Do not immerse the product in water.

Disposal
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the
household waste. At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to
the relevant statutory regulations. Remove any inserted (rechargeable) batteries
and dispose of them separately from the product.
b) (Rechargeable) batteries
As the end user, you are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used
(rechargeable) batteries; disposal of them in the household waste is prohibited!
Contaminated (rechargeable) batteries are labelled with this symbol to indicate that
disposal in the domestic waste is forbidden. The designations for the heavy metals
involved are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead (name on (rechargeable)
batteries, e.g. below the trash icon on the left).
Used (rechargeable) batteries can be returned to collection points in your municipality, our
stores or wherever (rechargeable) batteries are sold.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
