5.6 FOLDING MECHANISM

To open the boot, or reach it more easily if bicycles are mounted on the rack,
you can fold the bicycle rack down. To do this, you must fi rst rotate the
securing bracket of the folding mechanism to the side (Image 18).
Make sure you hold the U-bracket or bicycle wheels tightly with one
hand (risk of injury through the frame with the bicycles suddenly folding
backwards), and push the release lever of the folding mechanism down
with the other hand. Now you can fold the rack down.

5.6.2 FOLDING UP THE BICYCLE RACK
Raising the rack platform engages it back into the transport position (you
will hear a ‚CLICK‘). Secure the folding mechanism by turning the safety
catch back again and making sure it engages with the release lever .

5.6.1 FOLDING THE BICYCLE RACK
The bicycle rack may not be used without this safety
mechanism.
• After use, store the bicycle rack in a clean and dry place. Wash any mud
or other dirt off using water.
• Keep the rack tow bar clean and free of grease.
• Check the bicycle rack regularly for damages. Damaged or worn parts
must be replaced immediately. Only original replacement parts may be
used.
• Check the bolts and nuts of the bicycle rack regularly and tighten when
necessary.
• Immediately treat any damage to paintwork with paint.
• Regularly lubricate rotating and moving parts.

protecting our environment through recycling, material recy-
cling or other forms of re-utilising old appliances! Dispose of
the bicycle rack in accordance with the laws and conditions
