Warranty & Repairs

5-Year Limited Warranty
Effective March 17, 2003, Essex Electronics, Incorporated
warrants that at the time of original purchase from Essex
Electronics, Incorporated, the K1-ERM Encoded Keyless Entry®
Access Control System and Encoded Relay Module (ERM) will be
free from defects in workmanship and material, but that the
Buyer’s remedies under this Warranty shall be limited to the
following, running from the date of purchase:
5 Years - Full warranty limited to repair or replacement at Seller’s
election.
This warranty shall apply only if Buyer gives Essex Electronics,
Incorporated written notice of the defect, at the address listed
below, within five years of the date of sale. No warranty shall
extend to any replacement furnished under this warranty beyond
the unexpired portion of original part warranty given on the original
part or system, which has been replaced. Essex Electronics,
Incorporated’s liability and Buyer’s remedy under this warranty is
limited to the repair or replacement at Seller’s election of the K1-
ERM Encoded Keyless Entry® Access Control System or Encoded
Relay Module (ERM), or parts thereof, returned to Essex
Electronics, Incorporated at Buyer’s expense and shown to Essex
Electronics, Incorporated’s reasonable satisfaction to have been
defective.
This express warranty extends only to the original retail or
wholesale Buyer and the original place of installation. It does not
apply if the K1-ERM Encoded Keyless Entry® Access Control
System or Encoded Relay Module (ERM), or parts thereof, is
installed in violation of the applicable codes or ordinances, or is
not installed in accordance with our instructions, is damaged by
lightning or Act of God, or is misused, damaged by accident,
