Do not use this appliance for any purpose other than those
described in this document.

To prevent any risk of fire or electric shock, never expose your
earbuds to high temperatures, excessively high humidity or
direct sunlight.

Never put heavy objects on top of your earbuds.

Do not insert other objects into the earbuds, as this may cause
electrical incidents.

Do not throw or hit your earbuds.

Only allow young children to use the earbuds unattended if
proper instructions have been given so that they can use it safely,
as improper use can lead to injury.

This product is not suitable for children under 36 months of age.

The earbuds must not be immersed in water, splashed or placed
near containers filled with liquid, such as vases. Keep the earbud
sin a dry location after use.

Never attempt to disassemble or reassemble the earbuds
yourself. Repairs must be carried out by qualified personnel.

To protect your health and hearing ability, do not listen to music
at a high volume for long periods of time. It is advisable to
regularly stop using your earbuds and/or keep the output volume
at a reasonable level.

Do not set the volume to a level preventing you from hearing what
is happening around you.
•
Only clean the appliance using a soft, dry cloth and avoid using
aerosols.
In order to avoid possible hearing damage, do not
listen at high volume level for long periods of

Recycling of the battery
This device contains an internal lithium battery likely to explode
or release hazardous chemicals. To reduce the risk of fire or burn,
never dismantle, crush, puncture the battery.
Do not dispose of the cells and batteries with household waste.
To protect the environment, the cells and batteries must be
disposed of in accordance with current regulations.
Electronic equipment
Your Bluetooth®** earbuds use Bluetooth® technology. They
transmit and receive HF radio electric frequencies in the 2.4 GHz
range.
These emissions can interfere with the operation of various
electronic devices. To prevent accidents, do not use your
Bluetooth® earbuds when you are in the following locations:
•
places where flammable gas is present, in hospitals or petrol
stations, on trains, aeroplanes or in petrol stations near automatic
doors or fire alarms,
•
areas where blasting is carried out
If you have a pacemaker or other prosthesis, ask your doctor for
advice.

Fully charge the battery before using the headset for the first time.

To charge the battery, use the USB/micro USB cable supplied.
Connect the micro-USB connector to the earbud charging
port, then plug the USB connector into a free USB port on your
computer.
•
You can also connect the micro-USB plug to the earbud charging
port before connecting the USB plug to the USB port of a USB
AC mains adapter or of a cigarette lighter charger (not included).
•
During charging, the earbud indicator light turns

Note:
when the battery needs to be charged, you will hear a beep
as well as a message telling you the battery is low.
using the earbuds
The cord must sit behind the neck for optimal comfort and greater
freedom of movement.
Each earbud is marked with a letter, L for the left ear and R for the
right ear.
The flexible tips provided enable the earbuds to sit comfortably in
the bowl of the ear.
Three different tips are provided for a good hold and optimal comfort.
To determine whether the tips fitted are the right size:
1.
Gently insert the earbud into your ear canal, far enough for it
to sit inside the ear.
2.
Tilt the earbud backwards. The tips must sit comfortably in the
bowl of the ear.

If this is not the case, you must change the tips. To do this, gently
peel away the edges of each tip, taking care not to tear them.
Position the new tips around the headphones.

To save battery power, the earbud switches off automatically if no
device is connected after 10 minutes.
Bluetooth® connection
If you have a Bluetooth® audio device (smartphone, tablet, laptop,
etc.), you can pair it to the earbuds. The Bluetooth®connection
lets you play music recorded on your audio device without using
a cable.
1.
Make sure your Bluetooth® device is compatible with at least
Bluetooth® V.2.0 and that the earbuds are switched off.
2.
Press the middle

button for 4 seconds until the indicator
light alternately flashes red and blue. The earbud enters pairing
mode.

On your mobile phone, activate the search for Bluetooth®
devices function. Refer to your mobile phone’s manual for more
information.

During the pairing process, the distance between the audio
source and your headphones must not exceed 1 metre.
5.
When searching is complete, connect your appliance with the
“Essb_EBT03”
device.
6.
After connection, the blue indicator light slowly flashes blue.
Pairing takes about 5 minutes. If no device is paired within this time
frame, the earbud automatically switches to standby mode.
•
If the connection fails, turn off the earbud and try
the connection again. Refer to the manufacturer’s
manual for more information.
•
If your phone has a Bluetooth® system older than
version 2.1, the earbud may require an identification
key. If so, type
0000
and confirm.
•
Following successful pairing, the earbud and your
mobile phone will connect automatically when they
are in proximity to one another. The earbud can
save up to 8 devices. When there are more than 8
devices, the first will be replaced.
•
Each time the earbud is switched on, it will pair
with the last device connected. If you want to pair
another device, switch off the Bluetooth® function
of the last device connected to the earbud.
