Useful Information while
Talking
During a call, you can: change the volume of the ear piece; mute the
microphone; use the display as a scratch pad; send DTMF tones; check
the duration of the current call.
Changing Volume while Talking
During a call, you can use the volume keys to increase or decrease the ear
piece volume. Press the up or down button on the side of the phone while
a call is in progress. An earpiece volume screen is displayed indicating
the current volume level. The display will be similar to:
The volume level will be indicated by the number of squares shown.
To “Mute” or “Unmute” the Microphone
Press the
SOFT RIGHT
key during the call to ‘mute’ or ‘unmute’ the
microphone. When muting is on, the earpiece and alerter is still active
together with the In-call Menu, stores and scratch-pad.
Using Phone as Scratch Pad
1. Enter a phone number on the keypad while talking. When you end the
call, the number remains in the display.
2. Press
YES
to call the number shown in the display.
Sending Tone Signals
During a call you can press keys 0 – 9, * and # to send DTMF tones, (for
example, to perform banking by phone or to control an answering
machine).
Checking Time or Cost of Calls
When you start a call (incoming or outgoing), the airtime is counted in
minutes and seconds. If you want the phone to keep track of the cost, first
check if your service provider supports that service. If the service is
available for your subscription, see “Call Duration and Cost” on page 26.
