Assembly Instructions
3.2.1
Unpack and Assemble the Running Gear
Install the sensing head after unpacking the unit. In order to do so, insert the two tabs on the back of the
sensing head into the handle bar pipe and press them downward to their stop. The sensing head can be
mounted with the operator’s side facing the front or facing the test person. The head should usually be
mounted with the operator’s side facing the front so that the display can be seen by the person operating
the machine. Insert the potential equalisation cable in the flat plug on the rear side of the sensing head.
Connect the main plug with the connecting socket. Fasten the rear cover with 4 screws.
The device has 3 base adjustors; 2 at the front and one at the rear of the middle console. The front base
adjustors must be positioned so that the running gear (front rolls) is free above the floor.
3.2.2
Connecting the blood pressure cuff
The interfaces for the air tube and the microphone are located at the bottom of the control panel. Press the
special connection of the blood pressure cuff onto the joining nipple and connect the microphone connector
to the socket next to it.
3.2.3
Connecting the ECG electrodes
The electrode connectors are located on the lower side of the control console, to the left of the blood pres-
sure cuff connections. Assignment when seen from the front: left (L) middle (N) right (R).
3.2.4
Connection
Establish potential equalisation (see section 2.3) and plug the supplied power cable into an earthed socket.
As the device is preset to the local mains voltage (see chapter 8.4), you can switch it on using the main
switch on the rear panel. The ergometer is now ready for operation.
