Cleaning the Printer
To maintain the printer in optimum condition, you
need to perform periodic cleaning. Clean the platen and
the platen frame using the same procedure.

Check that the platen is ejected forward.
If it is not ejected, press the
}
button to move the
platen forward.

Make sure the printer is turned off and the screen
has turned off, and then unplug the power cable
from the electrical outlet.

Use a soft, clean cloth to carefully remove any
dust or dirt.
If there is a serious dirt problem, clean it using a
soft, clean cloth dampened with water and a
small amount of detergent and wrung tight. Then
wipe off moisture with a dry, soft cloth.

Important:
Never use any volatile liquid such as benzene,
thinners, or alcohol to clean the printer. They
could cause discoloration and deformities.
