button to move the platen into the
printer.

Check that Platen Height Error is displayed on
the control panel. If it is not displayed, repeat
steps 1 to 5 by moving the height adjustment
lever one step to the left to raise the platen.
Continue to raise the platen until the error is
displayed.

If Platen Height Error is displayed, repeat step 1
to 5 once more by moving the height adjustment
lever one step to the right to lower the platen.
Example of optimum height
When Platen Height Error is displayed under
the following conditions, label "2" is the
appropriate height.

Important:
If the print surface is too far from the print
head, the print quality declines and ink may
smear on the inside of the printer. Adjust the
platen to its optimum height.
Adjusting the angle of the fixing lever
You can adjust the fixing lever to any angle. Adjust it to
an angle that is easy to use.

Pull the fixing lever to the right, and then adjust it
to an easy to use position.

Once you have decided on a position, release the
lever.
