8. Make sure that the LCP completes the warm-up sequence (the flashing lamp monitor
LED stays on in green) in scores of seconds and displays a rectangular pattern.
The display pattern projected at this time is shown in Figure 5-2.
Adjust the parallelism between the LCP main unit and the screen and adjust the foot
adjuster unit so that the display screen appears precisely rectangular (measure the
length of the sides shown in Figure 5-2 and make sure that the vertical and horizontal
sides are of the same length).
9. Manipulate the focus ring so that the projection image is just in focus.
IO. Attach a piece of pressure sensitive adhesive double coated tape on the back
panel of the small-size mirror and stick it to the screen at the position at which the
production line from the projection lens unit intercept (10 cm from the bottom edge of
the projection screen).
Place a tracing paper in front of the projection lens unit and
adjust the position of the mirror so that the light reflected from the small mirror is
incident to the center or slightly above the center of the projection lens (see Figures
5-1 and 5-3).
(This check using a mirror is required to ensure that the screen and LCP change their
position.)
