3.1.7 Details of Error Messages and Solutions

CASSETTE ERROR 003

The cassette is removed while the printer is powered on. Turn the printer off, set the
cassette correctly, and then turn the power on again.

DM ERROR 001

The duplex unit is removed while the printer is powered on. Turn the printer off, set the
duplex unit correctly, and then turn the power on again.

STACKER ERROR 002

The stacker is removed while the printer is powered on. Turn the printer off, set the
stacker correctly, and then turn the power on again.

JAM W W W W

NOTE: W=DM, MP, C1, C2, C3, A, B, STK

Explanation

Paper jam occurred.

Solution

Remove the jammed paper and then close cover A or B, or DM or STK. Then
printing starts from the jammed page.

Jam A

Open the cover A and then remove the imaging cartridge. Remove the
jammed paper, replace the imaging cartridge, and then close the cover.

Jam A B

Open the cover A and then remove the imaging cartridge. Remove the
jammed paper, replace the imaging cartridge, and then close the cover.Open
the cover B, remove the jammed paper, and then close the cover again.

Jam MP A, Jam C1 A, Jam C2 A, Jam C3 A

Draw out each paper feeder, remove the jammed paper, and then repeat
opening/closing of the cover A.If the jammed paper cannot be seen or
removed, open the cover A and remove the imaging cartridge. Remove the
jammed paper, replace the imaging cartridge, and then close the cover.

Jam DM

Open the duplex cover, remove the jammed paper, and then close the cover
again.

JAM STK

Open the stacker cover, remove the jammed paper, and then close the cover
again.

INSTALL TONER CARTRIDGE

The toner cartridge is not installed.

Open Cover A, install the toner cartridge indicated and close Cover A. The error is
cleared.

WRONG TONER CARTRIDGE

The toner cartridge is incompatible.

The error is cleared by setting an appropriate toner cartridge.

REPLACE TONER CARTRIDGE

Printing has stopped because the toner cartridge has reached its lifetime.

Replace with a new toner cartridge.

NONGENUINETONER CARTRIDGE

The toner cartridge is non-genuine.

The error is cleared by setting an appropriate toner cartridge.

REPLACE FUSER

The fuser unit has reached its lifetime.

Replace the fuser unit and then execute "Reset Fuser Counter" in "Reset Menu".
