Configuration
RELAYS submenu
The RELAYS submenu has the following options:
In addition, there are other options that appear on the RELAYS submenu, depending on the
setting for the STD MAP option.
MIXED ALERT DANGR message
If you see the “MIXED ALERT DANGR” message when you try to exit the RELAYS
submenu, it means that you mapped both Alert and Danger alarms to the same relay when
STD MAP=NO. You must change the relay selection so that only one level of alarm is
mapped to the relay (either Alert or Danger, but not both).

ATTRIBS
Displays the ATTRIBUTES submenu (page 23), for relay attributes
(failsafe, latching, rising options).
DELAYS
Displays the DELAYS submenu (page 25) for alarm delays such as the
global alarm delay or the start-up period.
STD MAP
Choose the alarm and relay mapping style. See “Understanding Alarm
and Relay Mapping” on page 26 for details.
z
YES - Use standard mapping. All Alert and System Fail alarms are
mapped to relay 1. Danger alarms on channel 1–6 are mapped to relays
2–7 respectively.
z
NO - Use manual mapping. The System Fail alarm is assigned to
relay 1. This allows you to map one alarm to one or more relays. You
can also map two or more Alert alarms, or two or more Danger alarms
to the same relay.
Note: If you change STD MAP to NO, exit to the Factory menu before
continuing with settings. This allows the monitor to change the settings
and menu items for the RELAYS submenu.
z
LOGIC - Use logical mapping. The System Fail alarm is mapped to
relay 1. You map logical combinations of Alert and/or Danger alarms
to each relay. The combinations use AND or OR as logical operators,
so you can map many alarms to one relay.
EXIT
Return to the Factory menu. The monitor remembers the current values
for menu options, but does not write them to memory until you exit the
Factory menu.
MAP 1-3
Displays the submenu for manually mapping alarms to relays for channels
1–3 when STD MAP = NO (page 27).
MAP 4-6
Displays the submenu for manually mapping alarms to relays for channels
4–6 when STD MAP = NO (page 27).
MAPPING
Displays the MAPPING submenu for logically mapping alarms to relays
when STD MAP = LOGIC (page 30).
