Cleaning measure

Lime deposits

‣

Immerse the spectrometer in 1-5% hydrochloric acid (for a few minutes).

Deposit buildup on
the optics

There may be deposit buildup in the non-visible range (UV). Therefore, always clean
the optics.

‣

Rinse the spectrometer with copious amounts of water.

‣

Wet a lint-free cloth with 5-10% phosphoric acid or 5-10% hydrochloric acid.

‣

Insert the cloth into the measurement gap and leave for a maximum of 10 minutes.

‣

Move the cloth back and forth to remove dislodged dirt particles.

‣

Wet the brush supplied with acid.

‣

Use the brush to clean the windows.

After cleaning:

‣

Rinse the spectrometer with copious amounts of water.
