BasX MC1 Cinema Processor
Basic Operation
Once you’ve configured a few things on your MC1 (refer to the Getting Started section) basic
operations like selecting sources and making trim adjustments are very simple.
Turning the MC1 On and Off
Once the rear panel AC Power Switch is turned on, and the MC1 has had a few seconds to boot up,
you can use the front panel Standby Button to toggle between On and Standby, or or you can use
the On and Off buttons on the remote control to switch between On and Standby modes.
Raising and Lowering Volume / Muting Audio
To raise or lower the Volume using the front panel controls:
Simply turn the front panel Volume knob up or down.
To Mute the Volume using the front panel controls: press the Volume knob briefly.
Pressing the Volume knob a second time will toggle Mute off.
Mute will be displayed on the front panel display when muting is engaged.
To raise or lower the Volume using the remote control:
Use the Up and Down arrows on the Volume button on the remote control.
To Mute the Volume using the remote control:
Press the Mute button on the remote control to toggle muting on and off.
Selecting an Input
To select an Input using the front panel controls:
Use the two front panel Input Buttons to step through the available inputs to the one you want.
To select an Input using the remote control:
Press the appropriate button on the remote control to directly select your input.
Note: By default, if you select an audio-only input on the MC1, the video output will display a
blank screen. You can configure the MC1 to display video from a video source when an audio-
only input is selected in the Source Setup Menu.
Changing Audio Modes
To change audio modes using the front panel controls:
Use the two front panel Mode Buttons to step through the available modes to the one you want.
To change audio modes using the remote control:
Use the Mode Button to step through the available modes.
Note: When cycling through the list of available audio modes the MC1 will only offer modes
that are valid for the particular type of input signal you are currently listening to.
Level Trims
The Level Trim Buttons on the remote control allow you to make direct
temporary
adjustments to
the levels of individual sets of speakers.
