6.3 Valve adjustment
In the delivery condition of the ELDRO
®
devices, both the ma-
nipulating as well as the reset time is set to 5 seconds. The ma-
nipulating times depend on the temperature and must be set
when the device has reached the operating temperature.
The models with lifting and/or lowering valve enable the stepless ad-
justment of the manipulating or reset speed (manipulating or reset
speed) of the lifting rod within a certain range. Whether an ELDRO
®
device is equipped with valves is specified by the designation (see
rating plate;

Section "Type designation and type code"). The desig-
nations H (lifting valve) and S (lowering valve) are embossed posi-
tively offset on the housing.
Examples for the model with valves:

Lowering valve (S): e.g. Ed 50/6 S

Lifting valve (H): e.g. Ed 80/6 H
−
Lifting and lowering valve (HS): e.g. Ed 121/6 HS
All devices (excluded Ed 630) can be equipped or retrofitted
with valves in retrospect by the manufacturer.
6.3.1 Installation point of adjustment screws
The installation point of the adjustment screws is shown in the dimen-
sioned drawings (

The adjustment screw H for the manipulating time (lifting time) is
found on the left of the rating plate behind the sealing plug. #See "H"

The adjustment screw S for the reset time (lowering time) is found on
the right of the rating plate, likewise behind a sealing plug. #See "S"
on the housing.
