Assembly and installation

Before starting any work on ELDRO

devices, the following safety

rules must be observed:

−

Ensure the industrial plant is at a complete standstill

−

Disconnect the plant from the power supply

−

Secure the plant from restarting

−

Ensure voltage-free condition

−

Ground and short-circuit

−

Cover or shield neighbouring parts that are under voltage

6.1

Assembly

The ELDRO

device may only be assembled by trained personnel

(e.g. industrial mechanics/electricians) who have several years of pro-
fessional experience.

WARNING

Movement of the cylinder

Risk of being crushed between obstacles in the surroundings and
the cylinder or by connected components

– Ensure sufficient clear space during the assembly to prevent

being crushed.

– Take alternative measures to secure the hazard area.

CAUTION

The weight of the ELDRO

devices is between 10 and 70 kg

Risk of injury when load is lifted manually.

– Use suitable lifting gear (e.g. crane).

– Do not stay underneath suspended loads.

– Use a means of transportation (e.g. lift truck) with sufficient

load-bearing capacity.
