Service and Troubleshooting

9.8.1

Packaging and shipping of return products/parts

It is preferable that original packaging, including any anti-static and foam wrapping, be used on all
returned products. If the original product packaging is not available, adequate packing should be used
taking into account the method of shipment of the returned product.

The customer is responsible for delivering the returned product to factory safely and undamaged. The
RMA number should be clearly marked on all returned products, boxes, packages and accompanying
paperwork. RMA requests received by the factory service department that are not clearly marked may
experience delay in processing.

Discrepancies

Any product received without a proper RMA request will be returned to the customer at the customer’s
expense. If any product and/or component(s) of the product listed on the request are missing from the
box, the customer will receive notification of the discrepancy and a replacement part will not include the
missing component(s). Any unauthorized product included with the RMA shipment may be returned at
Emerson s discretion.
