Service and Troubleshooting

6. When the data collection process is completed, a run summary will appear at the bottom of

the dialog box indicating

Start, End time

and

Status.

7. On the bottom part of the dialog box the path in which the zip file is saved will appear,

allowing right-clicking on it to perform two operations: “Explore to VDC Directory” and
“Copy File Name”.

The data collector collects the following information: Customer Data and problem description,
Computer data, Rosemount 3DVision data and log files from the last seven days. It will also
perform communication quality test and perform Echo Curve analysis on the vessel 10 times. All
files will be zipped into a single file to simplify the transfer process.

It is possible at any time to stop the process and the files will not be sent.

On a typical vessel with one Rosemount 5708, the data collection operation should take about
15 minutes. Uploading to the storage depends on the Internet quality connection.
