Choke cover cleaning
20. Fit back the upper plate with the RTP in the lid
respecting right position of the upper heating plate. Have
high care not to turn the upper heating plate that would
provoke flexible hose damages (the symbols must be in
the front).
Guide the flexible tube to avoid damages.
A segment is permanently marked along the length of the
tube: be sure to keep this segment in a straight line to
ensure proper repositioning of the top plate and to avoid
damaging the tube and the wiring.
21. Separately, wipe the Choke cover with new cloth-paper.
Use another new wet cloth paper to finally rinse the
choke cover: ensure the removal of any grease or food
residual to prevent early failures due to carbonization
effect;
IMPORTANT
Pay attention not to dent, scratch, cut or
otherwise damage the choke cover, its surface
and the silicon around it: this will result in
shorter life span of the component. Use only
tender wet towels (cloth-paper).
Steam exhaust chamber
22. Close the lid and unscrew the front knob to remove the
front top cover as indicated in the figure;
23. Using a damp cloth or a sponge soaked with the
detergent, clean both the steam exhaust chamber and
the inside of the front top cover.
24. Fit back in place the front cover and secure it by screwing
the knob before using the appliance.
IMPORTANT
Before using the appliance, be sure to have re-
installed properly the front top cover;
Check the complete cleanliness before re-installing
the front top cover.
Be sure that there is nothing (cloth, sponge, paper
towel …) left inside the steam evacuation chamber.
For FLEX versions only
• At the end of the cleaning process, after having turned the
machine back on, when the preheating phase is completed,
it is possible to reactivate the FLEX function (automatic
adjustment of the top plate) by pressing buttons “1“ and “8“
simultaneously.
M.5 Weekly cleaning
Once a week, after performing the daily cleaning, complete the
operations including the upper plate and the cooling air filters.
Upper heating plate
Start from step “10“ of daily cleaning (open the clips to
release the RTP from the upper plate).
A. Fit back in the lid the upper heating plate (
without the
RTP ) and push it to the lowest position until the first
«click»: the upper plate cooking surface should be in
plane with the bottom frame of the lid.

ensure proper repositioning of the top plate and to avoid
damaging the tube and the wiring.
B. Insert a cloth-paper into the slot between the worktop and
the lid;
Spray the detergent on the upper plate by means of the
delivered sprayer. Allow to soak for 1 minute.
The upper heating plate must be hot to achieve the
effective degreasing.
