Commissioning

Requirements and parameterization

Introduction

Commissioning the AEROTOP S heat
pump can only be carried out by quali-
fied personnel, otherwise the warranty
shall be forfeit.

It is forbidden to activate the heat
pump if any of the following conditions
apply:

•

construction drying out;

•

System temperature < 25 ° C .
It is recommended  to heat with
the use of electrical resistance
installed

•

unfinished system (raw con-

struction);

•

external doors and windows
not completed and closed. In
these cases, please arrange
for site heating. Functional
heating or ready to install with
the heat pump according to
DIN EN 1264 is only possible
when taking into account the
aforementioned conditions.
Moreover, please keep in mind
that after sizing the heat pump
for normal operation, it may not
be possible to generate all
heating necessary.

Please comply also with the following
instructions:

•

Comply with regulations and
instructions issued by the man-
ufacturer of the screed mortar.

•

Correct operations are possi-
ble only with a system that has
been installed up to standards
(hydraulics, electrical compo-
nents, settings). Otherwise the
screed could be damaged.

Before requesting commissioning, the
following points must be guaranteed
and checked:

•

Regulation box installed and
fully wired in.

•

Heat pump fully connected and
up to standard, both electrical
and hydraulic side.

•

All components necessary for
the system to operate, such as
circulation pumps, three way
valves, sensors etc, fully con-
nected and up to standard.

•

Hydraulic connections fully
completed and up to standard.

•

All sensors installed and up to
standard, screened and locat-
ed in the correct position on
the basis of the corresponding
system layout.

•

Heating system built up to
standard and rinsed, filled and
deaerated in compliance with
instructions. Airtight sealing
check carried out.

•

Voltage compliant with the
values listed on the heat pump
label.

•

All valves in operating position.

To carry out the commissioning, the
following people must be in attend-
ance:

•

Designer: provides the operat-
ing parameters.

•

Installer: in charge of function-
ality and regulating the heating
system.

•

System manager (client or
client's representative): they
are instructed on the operation
and use during commissioning.

If the above conditions are not all met
when the commissioning is request-
ed, ELCO declines all liabilities for
any running problems of the system.
In this case the system's commission-
ing is carried out at one's own risk
and under one's own responsibility.

Parameterization
of the entire system is managed by
the integrated LOGON B WP61 regu-
lator. The correct parameter setting is
detailed in the system documentation.

After commissioning
After commissioning, the AEROTOP
S heat pump does not require particu-
lar interventions or adjustments to the
regulations settings. Any desired ad-
justments to the heating temperatures
can be carried out on the basis of the
user instructions for the LOGON B
WP61 regulator.

Regulator operation

The regulation is carried out via ther-
mal sensors and measuring devices
at the level of heat pump, external air,
system, accumulator, ACS accumula-
tor and, in case, living room. When
required, the regulator sends a heat-
ing request to the heat pump.

The heating temperature is regulat-
ed via a characteristic curve. The
heat pump and system controls are
automatic.
The specific system parameters are
set at the time of commissioning the
climate regulator.

Warnings

The AEROTOP S heat pump func-
tions correctly to the extent in which
the parameters do not differ from the
expected values. If one or more pa-
rameters are outside the limit values,
the regulator issues an error via an
unencoded text and, if necessary, it
disconnects the heat pump in order to
protect the various components.

The various warnings are described in
the user instructions for the LOGON B
WP61 regulator.

In the presence of certain errors, the
heat pump is reactivated (automatic
cancellation) again if the expected
status was reached again. In general,
it is also possible to reactivate the
heat pump manually.
