the subject’s head for 360

Remember to 

start from and return to

 the top, center of the head (near 

the vertex sensor) to ensure that the scanner does not lose its 
orientation in space. 

If the scanner does lose its orientation in space, return it to the last 
position it held its orientation and hold the scanner still for a few 
seconds until it reorients itself in space. 

A loss of orientation is indicated by the LED stripe turning orange.  

In lieu of the last position, returning to the top, center of the subject’s head will 
reorient the scanner. 

One or two hands. 

Hold the scanner with one or two hands with the cable 

extending toward the right. 

 

This is the default orientation for the scanner. The onscreen 3D sensor 
cloud is 

on its side

 with this scanner orientation.
