Removing and replacing components

REPLACE
THE
POWER
SUPPLY
1.
Insert the power supply into the pan and install the 2 pan screws and 3 external screws.

Use zip ties to drape the cables and to secure them to the pan in four places.
3.
Connect the power cables (see Figure H on page 12):
• SATA power cable to HDD (Connect to the HDD SATA connector only; do not use a
4-pin power connector.)
• Power cable to motherboard connector J18
• Power cable to motherboard connector J11
• White and Black power cables to the AC power switch
White wire to the lower lead corresponding to ON;
Black wire to the lower lead corresponding to OFF

OTE
:
The power supply kit includes a spare AC power switch that you do not need to
use unless you suspect that the old AC power switch is bad. To replace the AC power
switch, squeeze in the tabs and push the old AC power switch through its cutout
(pressing the tabs with pliers or the flat side of a screwdriver may help). Position the spare
AC power switch correctly in the chassis cutout (see Figure C on page 6) and snap it into
place. Connect the cables as described in this step.
4.
Reassemble the unit and verify functionality, as described on page 34.
