Connection to the CAN bus

Warning - hazardous electrical voltage!
Danger of electric shock! BEFORE

 connecting it must be ensured 

that the power supply is off load.

The Combi Gateway uses the CAN bus addresses 

126 and 126 or 127

, which are used in the following

software modules:

CAN bus address conflict! 

The parallel operation of a Combi-Gateway with a 

CAN Bus to PC ad­

apter

 is only possible when the LAN Gateway’s CAN bus address is set to 

127

. For data archiving

and system monitoring the connection should be made via the Combi-Gateway. The simultaneous,
parallel retrieval of archive data can lead to recording gaps in the instances retrieved!

The Combi Gateway can be integrated in the LDS system via the CAN bus as follows:

The data exchange with the store computer CI 3000 / CI 3100 is performed at approx.

The data exchange with the store computer CI 3000 / CI 3100 is performed at approx. 250 kbit

The following diagram illustrates the mode of operation:

 

Unprofessional shielding of the CAN bus leads to electromagnetic noise fields. 
During wiring work, it is essential that the conductors be connected by a professional and correctly
shielded. The following cable type must be used for the CAN bus cable: 
LIYCY 2x2x0.75 mm2 (twisted pair and shielded).

Further details for connection to the CAN bus (cable type, cable length, necessary terminating resis­
tors and correct installation, etc.) are described in detail in the operating manual ”Basics and general
safety and connection instructions”.
