Installation and Startup of Combi Gateway

Important safety instructions!
BEFORE

the installation and commissioning of the Combi Gateway, chapter 1

should be carefully read in its entirety and all safety instructions and hazard warnings observed.

CAN bus connection using ”high speed connection” (chapter 6.2.2):

In order to prevent ”false alarms”, it is recommended to activate ”Service Mode” in the store com
puter before repair / maintenance work so that the remote alarm function is suppressed for a limited
period. Refer to the operating manual of the store controller for the details for this. The control centre
should also be informed.

Background: If the Combi Gateway is disconnected from the power supply or connection lines are
disconnected, the store computer would generate an alarm for each component connected to the
CAN bus and signal this, e.g. via modem, to the control centre. This flood of messages could result
in unnecessary service visits and consequential costs.

6.1

Commissioning

The device may only be mounted on a Cap (DIN) rail and operated as an integrated regulation and
control device (EN60730).
