Important safety instructions
•
Do not leave the turned on appliance unattended. During cooking an overfl ow and smoke may occur.
•
Never use the appliance as a work table or storage space.
•
Do not use the appliance to heat the room.
•
Do not heat an empty container. You could damage it.
•
After use, always turn off each cooking zone and the entire hob, as described in the instructions (i.e. Using
the controls). Do not rely on the automatic shut off function.
•
Do not allow the children to play with the appliance, to sit or to stand on it.
•
Do not store in the cupboards above the hob objects that could be of interest to children. Children
climbing to get these objects are risking injury.
•
When you are using the appliance, do not leave the children unattended.
•
Do not repair or replace any parts of the appliance, except those operations described in the manual.
Other service work may be performed only by a qualifi ed technician.
•
Do not use steam cleaners for cleaning.
•
Do not place heavy objects on the plate.
•
Do not stand on the plate.
•
Do not use dishes with sharp edges and do not push the dishes around the hob plate, you could scratch
the ceramic surface.
•
Do not park hot pots and pans on the control panel or the frame of the hob.
•
Salt, sugar and sand could scratch the ceramic plate.
•
Aluminium foil and plastic containers melt on hot plates.
•
Cleaners not designed to clean ceramic hob plates could leave irremovable stains on the surface of the
hob.
•
Do not clean with scourers or any other abrasive agents, which could scratch the surface.
•
A damaged cable must be immediately replaced by a qualifi ed technician.
•
The appliance is not designed for use with timers and other control systems.
•
This product is designed only for cooking at home or in similar environments like:
- personnel kitchenettes in stores, offi
ces and similar workplaces;
- rural households and farms;
- kitchenettes for guests in hotels, motels and similar accommodations.
This appliance can be used by children aged eight and older and by the physically and mentally impaired or
by individuals with insuffi
cient experience and knowledge, if supervised or trained to use the appliance in
a safe manner and understand potential dangers. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and
maintenance operations must not be carried out by children unless supervised by an adult.
WARNING:
The appliance and its accessible parts become hot when in use. Attention should be paid
to not touching the heating elements.
Prevent access to children 8 years and younger unless they are constantly supervised.
WARNING:
Cooking with fat or oil on the cooking panel without supervision may be dangerous and
could cause fi re.
Never try to extinguish the fi re with water - turn off the appliance and then cover the
fl ames with e.g. a lid or a wet cloth.
WARNING:
Risk of fi re: do not put any objects on the hot plate.
