CONNECTING THE APPLIANCE TO POWER
The power cable must be connected and secured in accordance with applicable standards and regulations,
connection method is described below.
1. Before connecting to the power supply, make sure that the current capacity of the electrical circuit and an
electrical outlet corresponds to the maximum power of the hob.
2. The outlet must be the grounded type and must comply with all applicable regulations. If a separate outlet
for the hob is not available, such an outlet must be installed before connecting the hob by a qualifi ed
electrician.
3. The switch and the safety elements must be easily accessible after the hob installation.
4. Do not use adapters, splitter sockets or extension cables to connect the hob.
5. The appliance meets the requirements of the following EEC directives:
• Ceramic hobs – EEC/73/23 a 93/68, EEC/89/336, concerning radio interference
• EEC/89/109, concerning contact with foods.
6. A circuit breaker must be installed in the power circuit with a nominal value equivalent to the label with
thermal fuse and a contact gap of at least 3 mm.
7. Ensure the use of insulated cables in the installation. Incorrect wiring can cause damage to the appliance
and void the warranty.
8. All repairs must be performed exclusively by qualifi ed service technicians.
9. Unplug the appliance from the power supply before any maintenance.
