Thank you for buying the ECG brand ceramic hob. Before connecting the appliance read carefully the operating
and installation manual and strictly follow all instructions. Read the section on installation before you install it.

Installation:
Risk of electric shock
•
Always disconnect the appliance from the power supply before moving it, maintenance and other work.
•
The appliance must be always properly grounded.
• Only
a qualifi ed electrician may modify the home electrical wiring.
•
Failure to comply with these rules may result in electric shock, death or fi re.
•
The power supply cable must not be pinched or wedged during the installation. A damaged cable has to
be replaced.
Risk of cuts
•
Be careful – the edges of the panel may be sharp.
•
Carelessness could lead to cuts or other injury.
Important safety instructions
•
Read these instructions before installation and using of the appliance.
•
Do not place any fl ammable objects on the appliance or close to it.
•
Provide this manual to the persons who will perform the installation.
•
The appliance must be installed according to the instructions of this manual, otherwise there may be risk.
•
This appliance may be installed, connected and grounded only by a qualifi ed technician.
•
The appliance must be connected to the power supply only through a designated safety circuit breaker
at all poles of power.
•
The materials near the installed appliance (cabinet, kitchen counter) must withstand temperatures of at
least 100°C.
•
Incorrect installation can cause loss of warranty and any liability for damage.
Use and maintenance:
Risk of electric shock

Do not use a cracked or a broken hob. If the surface of the hob cracks or breaks, disconnect it immediately
from power and contact a qualifi ed technician.
•
Always disconnect the appliance from power before cleaning or maintenance.
•
Failure to comply with these rules may result in electric shock, death or fi re.
Danger of hot surfaces
•
When in use, the surface of the hob heats up and may cause burns.
•
Until it cools, do not touch the surface with any part of the body, clothing or other objects except for the
designated tools.
•
Do not leave any metallic objects on the hob’s surface (e.g. kitchen utensils) or empty containers, they
could heat up very quickly.
•
The pot handles can be unusually hot. Make sure that the pot handles do not reach over other zones
that are on. Keep the handles out of reach of children. Failure to follow these rules may cause burns and
scalding.
