Stall
The Stall protection monitors the average phase current as a
percentage of FLA of the motor and will trip the motor if the
current exceeds the set threshold. The Stall protection is only
active as the motor transitions from the Starting to Running
states.

Reclosing
The C445 motor management relay has a thermal memory in
the electronic release. After a trip, the electric motor must first
cool down from the heat produced by the overload before it can
be switched on again.
The C445 motor management relay reset can be achieved by
either “MANUAL RESET“ and “auto-reset“ to restart the motor
after an overload.
•
In "MANUAL RESET" the C445 motor management relay
can be reset without a significant time delay by depressing
the button located on faceplate of Base Control Module. The
overload condition no longer present (thermal capacity must
be less than 100%). Reset can also be initiated through the
communication port.
•
An “auto-reset” provision enables the unit to automatically
reset when the fault has cleared.
WARNING
If the C445 motor management relay is commissioned
for protecting motor located in a potential explosive
atmosphere assess the safety risk when using the
“auto-reset” . There is a risk of overheating the motor
with repeated resets of the device .
