NOTE The specified default instantaneous trip setting provides the maximum protection for
the batteries. Failure to adhere to 5x instantaneous trip setting voids the battery
warranty.
To verify the trip setting:
1. Verify the UPS system is not in reserve mode or operating on battery. Refer to the applicable Eaton 93PM
UPS Installation and Operation manual, listed in paragraph
1.7 For More Information , for UPS operating
procedures.
2. Verify the battery breaker instantaneous trip setting is set to 5 on all three trip dials (see Figure 26 ).
3. If dials are not set to 5, set each to 5.
4. Proceed to paragraph 4.5 Installing IBC Interface Wiring .
Installation
