SECTION 5: NETWORK TERMINATION
Pow-R-Command Network provides global
communication between the panels in the
system. Each panel is connected to the
Network in a daisy-chain. Two connectors
are provided in the panel for network in and
network out connections.
Only BELDEN 3105A or equivalent cable
can be used for network connections.
Maximum overall length of either network
can not exceed 4,000 feet without a
repeater.
All panels in the system should be
connected in the Daisy Chain. Loops are
not allowed on the network.
The ends of the Network should be
terminated with the End-of the-Line
Resistors. A 12 Ohm resistors must be
placed on the furthest two panels on the
network.
One end of the shield of the network cable
must be connected to the ground in either
the first or last panel on the network. Note
that the shield should only be connected to
ground at one location in the network to
prevent any ground loop.
Polarity is an issue when connecting
network wiring.
Personnel installing the panels are
responsible for providing and terminating
the network.
