Battery Safety Precautions

Always observe the following personal safety precautions when
working with lead acid batteries:
a.

Someone should be within range of your voice or close
enough to come to your aid when you work near a battery.

b.

Keep batteries out of the reach of children.

c.

Batteries contain sulfuric acid. Avoid acid contact with
skin, eyes or clothing. Shield your eyes when working near
the battery to protect against possible splashing of acid
solution. If acid comes in contact with eyes or skin, flush
the affected area immediately with water for a minimum of
